There’s no doubt that past and present experiences mold our personality.  By nature, I am passive but I can be a fearless advocate of a cause I believe in.  I fervently tuck anything unpleasant away in the deepest recess and outwardly rejoice in the most insignificant pleasure.  I am a true “glass half full” girl and proud of it!  In my profession of plastic surgical nursing, I work with the human form and the perception of beauty everyday.

For these reasons, I suppose it’s no surprise that I paint what appeals to me most; people.  My portraits and figurative paintings are simple and straight forward.  There are no hidden agendas, deep meanings or abstraction.  Whether it is a portrait or fine art piece, my intention is to give you just enough information so you can finish the story.

When the last college tuition was sent off, I vowed to check some things off my “bucket list.”  I wanted to learn to fly, play piano, paint portraits, sculpt and learn a foreign language.  I haven’t made it to the sculpting or the foreign language………yet – but I am living the dream.  I’m an instrument rated pilot.  I play piano well enough for my own pleasure and it is my sincerest hope that my paintings will offer you pleasure.  Every time I pick up a brush, I aim to do better than yesterday…….so stay in touch and see where life takes my art next.

Why do I paint? I must……
